We also learnt about classification. All living things are classified into 6 kingdoms of life ( classification ) and given scientific names ( taxonomy ). All these help to organize the species that we had discover.
For phylogenetic, the classical method dealt with physical or morphological features but the modern phylogeny uses DNA and protein information.
What I learned is that science is a very organized field because everything is grouped and classified properly.This topic is very relevant in my studies because I may have to deal with a huge variety of living things and classification will help me to identify the basic characteristics.
